I got something from my grandmother in the mail today. Upon tearing open the envelope I pulled out: A thank-you card. What? I hadn’t gotten her anything lately. Her birthday isn’t even until July.
Then I read, in her slanted, cursive handwriting:
“Thank you so much for the magnet, how cute, we have it here on the fridge.”
She sent me a thank-you card. For our save-the-date.

* Except for when the beau said, “I’d better go to the Tuesday market and get flowers.” And I asked why? And he said, “Because your family is coming, and it would be nice to have flowers out for them.”**
** OH MY GOD, he is going to kill me for posting that. I am as good as dead. Sorry. It was nice knowing you guys.
Nawwww…. what a cutie (goes for the grandmother + beau)
The whole thing is too frickin’ cute. So warm and fuzzy.
p.s. so jealous you went out drinking with your hair lady. love hair ladies.
I love how little notes in the mail can make such a big impression! It makes me want to be good at it, like my mom and nana! always have a bunch on hand and just pop em in the mail – it definitely can make a day!
ok, and thats super cute of the beau! Its like when me and the mister were setting up our registry and he picked up an appetizer fork and in all seriousness says, “Well, this is cute. Do you want one?” I about died! No, I don’t really want an appetizer fork, but I’ll take a full plate of YOU!
so cute. grandmothers are the best. also, boy wanting to put out flowers for the family? I’m sure you probably figured this one out by now, but definitely a keeper.
so freaking cute, i’m gonna plotz!
That’s so cute (both the grandmother and the fella who is going to have to kill you for telling the blogger world that he thinks about things like flowers).
Cute overload. Actually, this is even better than fluffy bunnies and puppies. YAY!
Now if the wonderfulness of the magnets wasn’t worth all the work already, THIS had to be the (non-fondant) icing on the cake! so cute!
PS. Stats show that someone found my blog by Googling “bacyard weddings for a crazy wife who talks alot.” Am fairly certain I was of no help.
Seriously love this – LOL!
grandmas are the best. I went to visit mine the other day and she just looked at me and said ‘ I used to be a queen you know?’ I love it
